Mass Songs

Singing psalms and hymns unite choir members and worshipers through the celebration of the liturgy. The following five parts of the Mass typically can be sung:

1.  Kyrie (“Lord have mercy”)

2.  Gloria (“Glory be to God on high”)

3.  Credo (“I believe in one God”), the Nicene Creed

4.  Sanctus (“Holy, Holy, Holy”), the second part beginning with the word “Benedictus”

5.  Agnus Dei (“Lamb of God”)
